We brought a new puppy into out home last week. And a question continues to resound in my mind: how can something so small alter your life so completely? For a year and a half I tried to find a small rescue dog, but with Covid it proved to be a challenge living in Montana. Unless of course I would be willing to fly to the East coast or another distant destination.
So back to my repetitive question: how can a 4 pound dog disrupt a household in myriad of ways? If you've ever owned a puppy or had a baby you can quickly list a dozen reasons, so there is no need for me to go into specifics here. The puppy will eventually grow into a dog, life will once again find a rhythm and all will not be right with the world, because after all, we're only discussing a minor change with tremendous reverberations.
